About
INAUGURAL OFFICERS
Major Taylor Cycling Club of North Florida is one of a nation of riders focused on educating the public about Marshall “Major” Taylor. Michael Kyle, the first President of the group, was determined to educate the African American cyclists in Jacksonville about the history of the great Major. A rider with a ton of centuries under his belt, Michael would not rest until this organization was formed and functional (although he hasn’t rested yet).
Larry Eison the club’s first Vice President balances him time between Florida and Columbia. A quiet and gentle giant, Larry’s passion for cycling has led him to ride with and train young people in Columbia on the rigors of cycling. With a passion for education, Larry has been an extremely vocal educator on bike safety.
Paulette Walker the club’s first Treasurer and her attention to detail was exactly what the start-up club needed. Not only did she manage the club books and present detailed reporting, she was also extremely active in planning social service events for the club.

She noticed an amazing group of cyclists riding in a paceline, clipped in, and looking sharp, she immediately wanted to be a part of their team. Now, she oversees the beginner rides every Saturday at JBRT, where her journey with MTCCNF first began.
